Recruiting and Hiring Military & Veteran Spouses with MonsterGov

Recruiting and Hiring Military & Veteran Spouses with MonsterGovOn June 9, 2023, the White House issued an “Executive Order on Advancing Economic Security for Military and Veteran Spouses, Military Caregivers, and Survivors(see Fact Sheet here). Our colleagues at Military.com, part of Monster, covered the Executive Order and what these changes mean.

A historically underserved and overlooked community, military, veteran, and surviving spouses –many of whom are women – serve critical roles in the success of our military and military families, but also comprise an extremely well-educated and skilled talent pool. Having been an active advocate for employment success for the veteran and military spouse community since our founding, MonsterGov applauds the administration’s leadership to recognize the potential of military spouses and empower them to reach economic security. Our own SVP, Susan Fallon Brown, is a veteran spouse herself, and you may remember her 2019 article on Military.com about military spouses as an underutilized resource.

Looking at the priorities within the Executive Order and the Fact Sheet, agencies have tremendous opportunity to bring this talent into the federal workforce. And MonsterGov has many resources to support you on this important mission. With the power of Monster’s recruitment capabilities, we can help agencies attract and reach military and veteran spouses. MonsterGov offers comprehensive employer branding services and pay-for-performance campaigns, in addition to a range of resources, research, and best practices to help inform your agency’s hiring strategy.
